Our projects

Our non-profit organisation has already carried out several projects that have a lasting impact on the lives of the people of Lukunga. But we are not stopping there: we continue to prepare new projects so that we can contribute even more to a better future. Discover here how our efforts have made — and will undoubtedly continue to make — a difference.

Projects with lasting impact

Health centre.

The health centre provides professional and accessible medical care to the inhabitants of Lukunga and the surrounding area: medicines, vaccinations, and minor treatments.

Mill

We provided the village with its first grain mill. Since then, several other mills have been installed, and the village is now recognised as a true ‘village of millers’.

Schools

Two new wings of four classrooms each were built, representing a significant improvement in learning conditions.

Projects in development

The projects below are still in full development. We are actively working on their implementation, in collaboration with the local community and our partners on the ground. Any additional support is always welcome!

Water supply.

To this day, however, one fundamental need remains unmet: easy access to drinking water. This project had long been put on hold due to financial and technical challenges. Thanks to collaborations with other partners, such as the non-profit organisations Humasol and Aqua-Mayi, access to safe drinking water can finally soon become a reality.

E-learning centre.

The non-profit organisation aims to support young people in acquiring digital skills, in order to reduce the digital divide and promote their inclusion. In this way, a world of information and learning opportunities also opens up to them.

Reconstruction of the maternity unit.

The maternity unit in the village of Lukunga is a building used exclusively for childbirth. It was built using traditional sun-dried earth blocks, without deep foundations. The current structure is at risk of collapsing. The construction of a new building with solid foundations is therefore essential and would provide a sustainable solution to meet the needs of the community.
