Our projects

By providing essential facilities such as pharmacies and schools, promoting sustainable agricultural practices and involving local communities, we are working towards a future in which all the inhabitants of Lukunga have access to basic needs as well as opportunities for growth and development.

Who are we?

We are a group of people from Beauvechain (Belgium) who, together with the local population, are committed to supporting the development of the village of Lukunga in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Together, we work to contribute positively to the progress of their community.

How to participate?

Help us improve the future of Lukunga! We are also looking for motivated young people who would like to contribute to this adventure. Together, we can make a difference.

"I like to say that LBE is a small non-profit organisation, but its impact is visible from space: the young acacia plants we helped to plant have grown into a real forest! But above all, the difference we make in the village is enormous: thanks to several relatively modest projects that we helped to set up (health centre, electric mill, fish ponds, library, renovation of the school, etc.), we have succeeded in making life much easier for the people of Lukunga… Improvements that they themselves now maintain. That is what development cooperation is all about, isn’t it?"
